In Indonesia, there is a strong need to invest more heavily in infrastructure with the country lagging behind in its investment levels and resulting access indicators. The Bank has had a long engagement in the road sector in Indonesia. The current transport portfolio consists of two on going and 2 planned road projects during the next three years. The Transport sector is also involved in the Development Policy Loan operations and PPP. To support this purpose, the World Bank in Jakarta is recruiting:

The applicant should possess the following characteristics:

  • Masters level degree in either Civil Engineering or Highway Engineering
  • At least 8 years experience in transport operations including management of transport projects, road projects, experience in contract administration, planning and programming of capital and maintenance works and institutional reforms;
  • Comprehension of typical sectoral issues in transport, including experience in advocacy of sector policy reforms and management and financing of transport infrastructure;
