Open Society Foundations/ University of St Andrews / University of Essex Scholarships 2011-2012

In Collaboration with the Tifa Foundation, The Open Society Foundations and the University of St Andrews and University of Essex invite applications for scholarships at the University of St Andrews and University of Essex.

The Following programs are available:

At University of St Andrews:

  • MSc International Strategy and Economics
  • MLitt Middle East and Central Asian Security Studies
  • MLitt Peace and Conflict Studies

At University of Essex:

  • MA Human Rights
  • LLM Human Rights

Applicants must be nationals of and reside in Indonesia.
Applicants should have outstanding academic qualifications and good English.

Each scholarship provides one year’s tuition fee, at the University of St Andrews or University of Essex, a stipend to cover living costs (for one person only), and return air travel from the Indonesia. On completion of the scholarship, scholar expected to return to their home country to resume their study or work there.

We request applicants to submit three complete copies of the application form, one original and two copies. Applicants need to submit two academic reference letters in sealed envelopes. Applicants will need to enclose with their application a completed self-Assessment Form confirming that they meet eligibility criteria for this program.

Completed applications must be submitted by 3 February 2011 for University of St Andrews application and 17 January 2011 for University of Essex application during office hours (Monday – Friday, 09.00 to 17.00)
