The U.S. Consulate General in Surabaya is seeking an individual for the position of Building Automation System Technician (FSN-37/2010) in the Facility Maintenance Unit (FMU). The incumbent oversees, maintains and repairs complex building automation system which is computer controlled hardware and software, includes HVAC system, fire alarm system, water treatment system, power generation system, UPS system, power distribution system and the elevators. S/He also control units of Chillers, AHUs, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Variable Air Volume (VAV), motorized valves, Direct Digital Controller (DDC), pressure filters and any kind of sensors.

Qualifications required:

  1. Bachelor Degree in engineering specialization in electro-mechanical and automation, with technical education and vocational training in HVAC system is required.
  2. Five (5) years working as an HVAC engineer with minimum of three years experience in operating Building Automation System and field engineering is required.
  3. Level III (good working knowledge) in speaking/reading/writing both in English and Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia are required.
  4. Must have the general knowledge about information technology, computer system, software as related to building automation and digital control technology. Also must be able to operate automated building control system software as used in the appropriate facility
  5. Must have working knowledge of field engineering, civil, electrical, mechanical, building and construction practices, work safety and health standard requirement
  6. Must have a driver’s license (SIM A) and able to manage a multi trade workforce, manage projects, write technical reports and provide technical supervision.
