Education Specialists, Provincial Coordinators – RTI International

RTI is an independent organization dedicated to conducting innovative, multidisciplinary research that improves the human condition with a worldwide staff of more than 4,000 people, RTI offers innovative research and development and a full spectrum of multidisciplinary services.

In anticipation of an upcoming large basic education project RTI is currently accepting CVs from senior specialists in the following areas to supplement our current staff: education finance and planning, community mobilization, distance education, education management information systems, IT in education, monitoring/evaluation, and content specialists in reading language, math, English, and science.

RTI is also seeking Provincial Coordinator candidates with knowledge of the education field and familiarity with donor practices and policies to supplement our current staff.

Provincial Coordinator Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Chief of Party (COP), the Provincial Coordinator will provide assistance and support to the project as follows

  • Serve as the project’s technical and managerial representative at the provincial level Provide professional support in the coordination of all project-led activities in the province:
  • Provide capacity building technical assistance to various institutions and stakeholders in their efforts to improve the quality of basic education,
  • Provide assistance to project advisors with planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities;
  • Develop effective working relationships with local government officials working in basic education, and keep government counterparts informed about ongoing project activities in the province;
  • Facilitate partnerships and linkages between universities and education stakeholders;
  • Prepare Provincial Office work plan to be consistent and integrated with overall project work plan;
  • Manage and supervise provincial level technical and administrative staff;

Provincial Coordinator Qualifications:

  • A minimum of Bachelor (S-1) degree. Masters degree In Education or related area preferred;
  • Minimum five years working with local government and/or civil society organizations;
  • Experience in implementing a USAID-funded project is highly desired; Good command of English and demonstrated Indonesian communication Skills;
