Qatalum is the largest Greenfield Aluminium project ever to be executed. The project is a 50/50 Joint Venture between Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Hydro. When the plant comes in operation in late 2009 it will be one of the largest and most competitive primary aluminium plants in the world, with a production capacity of 585,000 MT per year. The smelter, casthouse, carbon and power plant will employ between 1100 – 1200 people. The plant is located at Mesaieed in Qatar, some 40 kilometers from the capital Doha. We are currently looking for highly qualified staff to join us in building this world-class organization.
Logistics Department
Transport Coordinator – Europe and America Monitor, manage and coordinate all activities related to ocean transport activities for metal to the European and the American markets. Bachelor degree in relevant discipline. 3 to 5 years experience in planning position within a shipping/ transportation organization. MS Office and SAP system. Fluency in English.
Transport Coordinator – Asia
Monitor, manage and coordinate all activities related to ocean transport activities for metal to the Asian markets. Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. 5 to 8 years experience in transport related industry. Fluent in English. MS Office and SAP. Fast and accurate input of data.
Logistics Coordinator
Perform administration functions related to process and support in issuing shipping documents. Bachelor degree in a technical discipline or equivalent. 3-5 years experience. Knowledge of SAP system, and skill in time management. Fluent in English. Fast and accurate input of data.
Shipping Coordinator
Monitor, manage and coordinate internal transportation of metal products between the Casthouse and port. Relevant university degree with 3 to 5 years experience in planning position within a shipping/transportation establishment. MS Office and SAP experience. Fluent in English.
