The Conservancy (TNC) is seeking to recruit

TRAINING MANAGER – BASED IN BALI

Essential Functions:
Develops and manages the Training program of Coral Triangle Center (CTC). Responsible for delivering all conservation management related courses, such as Marine Protected Area (MPA) 101, Marine Spatial Planning and Conservation Action Planning. Support in the development and delivery of science and monitoring training program, including courses on: Reef health monitoring, SPAG monitoring, Dive Intro to marine life, Resource Use monitoring, and others. Managed and supports associated trainers with delivery of other courses (such as Introduction to GIS, perception monitoring, Socio-economic monitoring etc). Establishes and maintains link/relationships between the CTC and partners at national, regional and international levels. Manages and develops learning exchanges, partners and learning network and supports CTC cross-cutting and site programs and responsible for proposal production and fundraising for training.

Qualifications;
MSc or PhD Graduated, in Conservation related discipline preferably marine, good experience (>8 years) in training or lecturing on conservation related topic; MPAs, fishery management etc, Field work experience in marine conservation, MPA management or related subject. Experience in facilitating workshops, Advanced Diver equal to PADI qualified and excellent in English and should able to perform high quality translation from English into Indonesia or vice versa.

TRAINING COORDINATOR – BASED IN BALI

Essential Functions;
Coordinates and delivers the science & monitoring training programs of the CTC, including courses on: Reef health monitoring, SPAG monitoring, Dive Intro to marine life, Resource Use monitoring, and others. Supports monitoring, the development and delivery of management and design related courses, including MPA101 and Marine Spatial Planning, and Conservation Action Planning (CAP) and supports associated trainers with delivery of other courses (such as Introduction to GIS, Perception monitoring, Socio-economic monitoring etc). Undertakes updating of training materials and presentations in close collaboration with the Training Manager. He/she is responsible for maintaining all databases related to the training development and production of technical reporting as requested. The Coordinator supports CTC outreach activities, learning exchanges, partnerships and learning networks and also provides support to CTC initiatives where technical and scientific support is required.

Qualifications;
MSc, Graduated preferably in marine science and management, Experience in training or lecturing on marine science, conservation, etc, experience in field work experience in marine science research, conservation or related subject, experience in facilitating workshops, at least Rescue Diver (ideally instructor level) equal to PADI, with more than 100 dives. And excellent in English. He/she should able to perform high quality translation from English into Indonesia or vice versa.
