IT Support Engineer

Job Purpose
Responsible and accountable for overall IT operations

Main Duties

  • Providing end-user technical support and troubleshooting on both hardware and software problems
  • Management, deployment and maintenance of the company’s Firewall, Routers, VPN, Wireless IT and other IT services
  • Management and support of the company’s information security hardware and software, including encryption software
  • Provide IT support for networking configuration, hardware and software installation roll out
  • Administer and support LAN/WAN
  • Ensure the security of the office premises including door access
  • Management and administration of the company server and data encryption
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive record of software licences, including user numbers
  • Develop proposals for changes to the operation of the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure the company is well equipped to meet ongoing business demands
  • Liaison with service providers and other vendors to ensure the continuing operation of the company’s services
  • Support the PABX telephone systems and its extension lines allocation


  • Degree in Computer Science
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge, understanding of, and experience minimum 3 years with the processes, procedures and techniques used in maintaining the office hardware and software, including servers
  • Demonstrable experience in administering Linux systems (High Points)
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in server operations, firewalls, routers, secure VPN and Wireless IT
  • Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge and understanding of the company’s products and practices, particularly in relation to the aviation and flight support products
  • Demonstrable abilities with the use of contemporary software packages such as MS-Windows, MS-Office, Open Office, Web Browsers, PGP etc as they are appropriate to the work area
  • Good written and verbal knowledge of the English language
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills, able to work amicably with all levels of management of staff in the workplace, be service oriented, and work as part of a team environment
  • Results oriented with a high degree of personal energy, imagination, creativity and initiative
  • Effective oral and written communications skills combined with excellent time management, decision making and organizational skills
  • Some travel may be required to support the company’s operations in Indonesia
