Project Engineer Cegelec


CEGELEC (, one of the foremost providers of engineering services, has been operating in Indonesia for more than 50 years in the fields of electrical engineering and construction. The company has been operating under the name of PT Indokomas Buana Perkasa since 1984. To support our operations, we are currently looking for:



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering related field
  • At least 10 years of facilities / project engineering experience, including at least 3 years of offshore facilities, construction, installation and/or fabrication experience
  • At least 5 years as a Project Engineer with minimum project contract value USD 1 million
  • Good command of English (oral and written)


  • Planning and coordinating of the project including setting of the priorities and allocation of manpower to assure all required technical, engineering, cost and safety standards are fulfilled and project objectives achieved
  • Shall have access and authority to take any actions required in maintaining project performance across project organization elements, such as Engineering Department, Procurement Department, Fabrication Yard and Offshore Installation team



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering related field
  • At least 8 years of project engineering and/or project management experience, including 5 years’ experience working onshore and offshore as a construction engineer, superintendent or fabrication manager for the fabrication of offshore oil and gas facilities
  • Have experience as a CM on at least 1 year previous project essentially similar in scope to that contemplated under the contract which cover project scope of fabrication
  • Have good understanding of all applicable codes, standards, specifications and safety policies / procedures
  • Have an excellent interpersonal, planning, scheduling and organizational skills as well as superior written and oral communication abilities
  • International project experience, especially within Indonesia is highly desirable


  • Providing construct ability input during the development of the design drawings for the work
  • Development of fabrication and offshore installation sequences, methods, procedures and task sheets
  • Coordination and development of fabrication engineering, offshore activities, planning and scheduling to assure compliance with all technical and schedule requirements
  • Organization and coordination of the yard space, manpower, equipment, tools, materials and consumables that will be required for the fabrication work
  • Supervision of the fabrication work to assure compliance with all safety and technical requirements
  • Reporting to the company on the progress of the fabrication work
  • Serving as the primary contact for the company construction representative at the fabrication yard
  • Organization and coordination of the vessels, manpower, equipment, tools, material and consumables that will be required for the offshore work
  • Serving as the primary home office contacts (24 hours per day) for the offshore personnel when they require assistance from the home office
