G-Resources is currently developing the Martabe Gold Mine in Northern Sumatra. The mine and processing plant are nearing the end of construction with the plant currently being commissioned. The open cut mine, with an average strip ratio of less than 1.4:1, and a conventional processing circuit incorporating jaw crushing, SAG and ball milling and CIL, is targeting to initially process 4.5mtpa to produce 250,000 ounces of gold and 3m ounces of silver annually

Senior Geotechnical Engineer

This position will be based at Martabe site with FIFO schedule 4/2 weeks and reports directly to the Superintendent Geotechnical and Hydrology.

The main accountabilities of the role are to:

  • • Promote and maintain high safety performance through personal commitment and application of safety policies and procedures
  • • Conduct regular risk assessments and monitoring of pit and dump slopes
  • • Evaluate, planning and implementation of geotechnical monitoring systems.
  • • Determine, review, and recommend appropriate geotechnical investigation programs (drilling, sampling, and logging) required for current and future expansion of the pit, waste dump, and associated major infrastructures.
  • • Develop geotechnical database of any geotechnical parameters for design works
  • • Generate geotechnical data models from collection and analysis of geotechnical mapping and drilling.
  • • Advanced user of geotechnical software –Slope Stability analysis (Rocscience Package, GeoSlope, Galena, etc.), Overseeing the implementation of slope design and evaluation of performance
  • • Good understanding in hydrogeological aspects
  • • Undertake remedial geotechnical investigations and formulation of corrective measures
  • • Assist in developing and continuously maintain site-specific Ground Control Maganement plan (GCMP)
  • • Develop site-specific geotechnical hazards awareness training for the mining team including contractors
  • • Providing leadership and mentoring for engineer and geotechnicians.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  1. 1. Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering geology or mining or civil engineering.
  2. 2. At least 5 years experience in geotechnical engineering aspects (preferably open cut gold mine)
  3. 3. Proficient in Geotechnical softwares, Surpac, AutoCad, Mapinfo.
  4. 4. Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Hydrogeologist

This position will be based in Martabe with FIFO schedule 4/2 weeks, and reports directly to the Senior Geotechnical and Hydrology.

The role will involve the development of mine, infrastructure and safety reason in concern with other mining engineering staff. This position caries on through the project development and operation to facilitate the effective operations of mining through reliable system of Hydrology management.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Minimum bachelor degree in Hydrogeology or Geology.
  • Promote and maintain high safety performance through personal commitment and application of safety policies and procedures
  • Considerable experience and exposure in mine dewatering, groundwater production, contaminated site investigations, and Acid Mine Drainage.
  • Familiar with planning, installation, and monitoring of dewatering well and piezometer bores.
  • Conduct pit slope depressurisation program & groundwater investigations and project management
  • Databasing, Data analysis and interpretation and Site work and supervision
  • Groundwater and surface water modeling – developing conceptual and numerical models
  • Proficient with related hydrogeological software
  • Closely liaison with other relevant departments (mine planning, mining operation, processing, project and environmental)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years working experience within hydrogeology aspect of active operating mines and Experience in a metalliferous mining operation environmental will be preferred.

 

SCM Admin Specialist (SCM 1290)

This position will be based in Martabe Site and reports directly to Supply & Logistic Manager.

This position is accountable to provide administrator and secretarial support to the SCM Management and responsible for coordinating administrative duties within all sections of the Supply Chain Management Department (consisting of : Procurement, Warehouse and Laydown Operations, Inventory Management & Cataloguing, Export Import and Logistic sections) includes filling management, data entry, update roster/staff movement, travel coordination, supplier/contractor visitation, cost reporting and other duties as directed by SCM Manager.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Undergraduate or S1 higher or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in commercial business office.
  • Well developed computer skills.
  • Demonstrated documentation skills, with high attention detail.
  • Excellent communication skill in English both written and oral.
  • Effective interpersonal skill
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
  • Financial/Commercial exposure
  • Previous experience in SCM.
  • Knowledge of Pronto
